I started lifting weights when I was 14 years old, a sophomore in high school. I went to a bodybuilding show later that year and by the age of 15 ½ I had started my competitive bodybuilding journey.
I competed from the age of 15 ½ to 21 and competed in many shows. My biggest accomplishments back then were in 1986 I became the NPC USA teenage lightweight champ and in 1987 the NPC National teenage lightweight champ. Once 21; life took a different turn resulting in some negative and positive things.
For many years I struggled with an eating disorder and I dearly missed competitive bodybuilding. Once I was ready to battle the eating disorder I swore I would not got go back to competitive bodybuilding until I had the eating disorder under control.
I can happily say with a lot of hard work, I accomplished that goal. During those years out of competition I started a family and have 2 wonderful girls who are teenagers now. I have the most supportive husband and in 2004 I came back to the world of bodybuilding and started competing again. I have been full swing ever since moving closer and closer to my goal of becoming a professional bodybuilder.
2010 was my year, with the help of my trainer Hany Rambod, and the support of my husband and two girls I reached my goal of turning Pro. It was a great year. 2011 I will make my pro debut.
